What do you think about money and happiness?

Check out these two interesting articles touching on happiness and money then let us know what you think…

Firstly, Time magazine reports on yet another psychological study that reinforces the notion that wealth dosn't equate to happiness. Among other things, the article notes that "The effect of money on happiness has been shown to plateau – that is, once people reach the point of being able to meet their basic needs, more money leads to marginal gains at best or even less well-being as people worry about “keeping up with the Joneses.”

In contrast, they report that “Providing individuals with more autonomy appears to be important for reducing negative psychological symptoms, relatively independent of wealth.”

Taking a different perspective is Forbes magazine in which it's written that you can buy happiness if you spend your money the right way. What's the right way? Well, in short, it notes that you should buy experiences rather than things; help others instead of yourself: buy many small pleasures instead of a few big ones and, well, you can read the full and original article HERE

So that's what the research says about money and happiness; but what do you think? Have your say by posting your comments on our Facebook Page HERE

Thanks in advance : )
