Although many people still search for happiness in “things” (e.g. cars, gadgets, toys or clothes) research consistently finds that happiness is more likely to be found elsewhere.
The Gallup Organisation, for example, have been surveying Americans for many years now. Combining the results of the 2006 poll with those from 2005 and 2004, researchers say marriage may be more strongly associated with personal happiness than money.
