A new study has challenged the set point theory for happiness that states that subjective well-being is largely independent of our life circumstances. The researchers suggest that life events have a bearing on happiness.
And remember, the most important point is that whatever portion of our happiness that’s determined by genes, there’s a greater proportion that’s under our control. You can, for example, learn to think more optimistically and this will increase your happiness!
