An interesting story of two kids simply spreading peace and happiness

Philip White and Emily Mercier are on a mission to spread peace and bring happiness.

Ideally, it is a global mission, but there is only so much two Miscoe Hill School fourth-graders can do on their own, which is why they enlisted the help of Ohm Dog.

Ohm Dog is a character created by Emily and since its creation in February, Ohm Dog has taken on a life of his or her own. For those curious, Ohm Dog can be either a “he” or ‘she,” because all ohm bodies are different, explained Philip.

Ohm Dog, who sits in the butterfly yoga position, is named for his/her appearance. Ohm Dog, who can be found on the Internet at www.ohmdog.com, has spread the message of peace and happiness and has become a symbol to more than 5,400 visitors.

And some of those visitors have joined the global initiative by simply wearing a T-shirt or sweatshirt with Ohm Dog’s likeness purchased through the Web site. However, no purchase is required to spread Ohm Dog’s message. As Philip and Emily explain on their Web site, the message can be spread simply by smiling at someone, holding the door for someone with their hands full, or sharing happy stories.

“We hope he becomes a symbol of peace and happiness everywhere,” said Philip.
