21 Feb Happiness and abnormality
I’ve just been reflecting on my days as a clinical psychologist when among other things, people used to often ask me whether or not I thought they were “normal”.
At the time I didn’t give this much thought but recently I’ve been wondering whether “normal” is really such a great goal.
What if we were to aim for exceptionally abnormal?
When I think about those people I’ve known or worked with who have much happiness and success in their lives they are, quite often, “abnormal”…in that they do things slighly differently. Maybe happiness requires this…living your life differently, your way!
Just a happiness related thought! I’d love to hear what you think…
