It might seem that happiness is in short supply these days.

Still-slumping housing prices, bleak consumer spending, high unemployment and a recession are just a few of the official indicators that point to a depressed economy. But they also point to the deflated national mood that comes with it.

But luckily, tough economic times do not necessarily need to lead tough emotional times as the science of positive psychology provides us with practical and effictive tools for happiness.
