Is keeping busy the key to happiness?

The key to happiness is to keep busy, scientists have revealed.

They said even meaningless tasks make people feel better than sitting around bored.

In a test, subjects opted either to stand still for 15 minutes then submit a survey – or walk a short distance to give it in. Those who walked said they felt happier.

Professor Christopher Hsee, of Chicago University, said: “Get up and do something. Anything. Even if there really is no point to what you are doing, you will feel a lot better for it.”
