21 Sep Happiness is taking control – so here’s 7 ways to take control of your happiness today
Although there are times we need to accept that we can't control everything (this may well be the topic of a future blog posting) there are also times, most of the time in fact, when we should try to take control of as much as we can to create happiness and a great life.
Accordingly, today I'm happy to bring you 7 ways to take control and to boost your happiness and positive emotion today…
Before you go any further, make a decision to prioritise happiness today
Right now, set at least 1 happiness related goal, something that will bring you pleasure or satisfaction or both
Make a conscious effort to focus on what's working well today (rather than on what's not working)
Do something good to or for something else
Practice a random act of kindness (e.g. let someone in front of you in the line or anonymously slip a small chocolate in one of your colleagues "in trays")
Take at least 5 minutes out at some stage in the day and just relax and/or meditate
And don't forget to have some fun!
So there it is and see…it's not that hard.
