07 Feb Love and happiness…loving happiness
Love might not make the world go around but it certainly makes the ride worthwhile!
I've written and spoken many times about the importance of positive relationships in our lives for health, wellbeing and happiness but today I'm writing about love in a slightly different way.
I've no doubt that a HUGE influence on my happiness and wellbeing is my love for my wife and children (and for my immediate and extended family). They are my driving force, my inspiration, my entertainment and my saviour when times are tough.
I'm also lucky enough to be blessed with a wonderful network of friends and colleagues each of whom I "love" in a slightly different way.
But I also "love" what I do…helping others find happiness and live better lives.
And I also "love" my hobbies such as reading and listening to music.
And I also love that I live in a great country where we have safety and stability and freedom and democracy and so much more that many countries and many peoples around the world don't have.
I love that I'm relatively healthy and I love that there are amazing people (some of whom I know, many of whom I don't know) all over the world doing amazing things and creating incredible works and doing unbelievably inspirational deeds.
And finally, I love that I'm able to love all these things without limitation…
Love is, I believe, a vitally important part of my health and happiness, and a central part of me living a life well lived. What about you? What do you love?
